I find it difficult to believe that a group of people would agree to abide by a constitution, "a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed," that guarantees rights and freedoms, and then lobby to rewrite the constitution to remove specific rights and freedoms from specific people. At the end of the day, I just don't believe that a constitution should grant rights and freedoms to "all people except this group that we don't really like". Didn't we only just get miscegenation off the books? Sheesh.
You know, Canada has had same-sex marriage since 2005, and the place hasn't burned down yet.
