It has been about 2 years, 0 months, 0 days, 6 hours and 13 minutes since I last had a cigarette.
I don't really know that life gets any more surreal than that. Unless it's ...and 14 minutes...
Jesus never said a word about gays, while he explicitly advised a wealthy man to give away all his assets and arguably warned against bank accounts ('do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth'). Likewise, Jesus praises those who make themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven, but conservative Christians rarely lead the way with self-castration.

Today is my birthday. Think only kind thoughts about me today... :)
I was asked today if "open mindedness" meant "lateral thinking". I replied:
Can be, indeed, and it's a good place to start. I don't like choosing only one method, and lateral thinking is only really useful as an adjunct to the logical process. So I'd probably start off logically and progress laterally as required, if that makes sense. I think that "open-mindedness" specifically would mean applying these logical and supra-logical processes even under circumstances where emotions are involved.
Any thoughts?
