Seems rugged, if a bit homely. Independently reclining back seats would be de luxe indeed for road tripping. No fear of ripping out the bottom of the car heading to the TV Tower crag at Lion's Head.

Fun little car to drive, and now that the Mazda3 is out Mazda Canada is offering 0% financing for the Protegé5.
Ford Escape Hybrid
What? An eco-friendly SUV? From a North American manufacturer? Heavens!
On the flipside, I'm also sorely, sorely tempted by this:
It's a 2001 Suzuki LS650 Savage, ice blue.
Ice blue! With a low enough seat height that Hoi-en could ride it too, and a back seat for JP!
